October 2010

So here's a hodgepodge of halloween-themed pics from October. So far Tallulah has been an Autumn fairy, a Peacock Princess and a Bat Witch. Beatrix was a Sugar Plum fairy, a ballerina and today will be a Candy Corn Witch. Yesterday we went to Cross Creek in Malibu to pre-trick or treat at all the swanky Malibu shops with Ella and Emmy. Tonight we are trick or treating with the Walshes and the Werners so more pics to follow.

End of Summer Memories

Here a few Summer pictures of Beatrix (and a few mama and the girls). She's getting so big and still as happy and sweet as ever. She has the most massive molars coming into her little mouth and they upset her from time to time, but all in all she's blooming and swaggering about with her cowboy walk. She loves pushing her babas in the stroller and loves shoes so much. She will sit for a long time just putting on a shoe and then taking it off--anyone's shoe, mine, Gavin's, but especially Tallulah's. Some of her new words are cheese, shoes, hot, nice and teeth.

Tie Dye on the Potty

Beatrix turned 17 months yesterday and has started asking to sit on the toilet. She doesn't do anything in the potty, but she likes to put the potty seat on herself an then get down and pretend to wipe with "papa" and then flush. Check out the tie-dye t-shirt that we made for her and Tallulah. It's a size 6 and swamps her, but I think it's still pretty cute. She'd look good in a potato sack.

Beatrix at the Annenberg Beach House

We went to the Annenberg Beach House today in Santa Monica and it's amazing! We all had the very best day, but I think that Beatrix might have had the best time of all.

15 Months

o
l

Beatrix had her 15 month check-up yesterday and I realized that I haven't published a post lately about who she is these days and what she can do. She started walking about a month ago and is now sauntering around like a rhinestone cowboy with her bow-legged wide stance. One of my favorite things is her new ability to listen to directions. I will say, "Can you go get a baby from the playroom and bring it to mama, please?" Then she'll toddle off and do exactly that. She'll take her shoes off when I ask and is in general a really good listener. Something we're aren't so fond of is her love affair with that big purple dinosaur, Barney. She adores him and in her own swaying from side to side way, sing his theme tune. Her words and ability to mimic us are growing every day. She says bye bye and ball and book as well as the old regulars like mama and dada. She loves being outside in our baby pool and on the swing and as the Valley is thankfully taking a long time to "hot" up this summer, we are taking advantage of the cooler days.

More than anything she is just so beautiful. No matter what, looking at her angelic face with all those lovely big teeth and scrumptious cheeks makes me just light up inside. We are so blessed.
